Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 14, 2026

Short version: Your financial data stays in your browser. We don't store, sell, or share your personal information. The only data we collect is anonymous usage statistics via Google Analytics.

What data do we collect?

RealOnRoad collects two types of data:

Google Sign-In

If you choose to sign in with Google (required only to save your analysis or list a vehicle for sale), we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. We use this only to identify your account and display your name on listings. We do not access your Google contacts, calendar, or any other Google data.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site — which pages are visited, how long people stay, and which tools are used most. This data is completely anonymous. We cannot see who you are, where you live, or what device you use. We only see aggregate numbers like "150 people visited the EV calculator today."

If you want to opt out of Google Analytics tracking, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Do we sell your data?

No. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes. We have no ads on the site. We have no affiliate relationships with car dealers or manufacturers.

Cookies

We use only the cookies that Google Analytics requires for anonymous usage tracking. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party marketing cookies.

Data security

Vehicle listing data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), which uses industry-standard encryption. Your financial details never reach our servers — they stay in your browser.
